The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety completes some of the most thorough crashworthiness tests possible for new vehicles, and only those that emerge from the gauntlet with top ratings in every single test are eligible for the title of Top Safety Pick.
Earning the plus mark means that, in addition to being stalwart in a collision, the vehicle also goes to great lengths to prevent a crash from happening in the first place, with superior front-collision prevention.
We are proud to announce the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has achieved the coveted status of Top Safety Pick+.
The non-sport Santa Fe has not yet finished testing with the IIHS, but so far, so good. It has earned top marks in four out of five categories, and is waiting on the results of the notorious small-overlap front crash test.
The Santa Fe Sport joins the Genesis, Sonata, and Tucson this year as Top Safety Picks in the Hyundai lineup. Check out the IIHS safety ratings of the wide array of other brands and models sold at Laird Noller Automotive Group of Kansas, and visit one of our convenient locations for a test drive.
