2017 Ford Shelby Mustang Gets New Colors and Features

Ford is giving the Shelby GT350 Mustang a few updates for the 2017 model year, and fans of the track-focused pony car have plenty to like.

New Colors

Bright new hues join the palette, including Grabber Blue and Lightning Blue, giving GT350 buyers even more ways to show off the car’s aggressive, functional bodywork.

More Standard Equipment

For 2017, Ford makes the content of the Track Package standard on the GT350, including the engine-oil, transmission and differential coolers and the Torsen limited-slip differential. That means every GT350 is ready for a weekend at Heartland Motorsports Park straight from the showroom.

The Heart of the Car

Nothing changes with the 5.2-liter flat-plane-crank V8, which revs past 8,000 rpm and makes 526 horsepower – the most powerful naturally aspirated Ford engine ever at the time of its debut. For the most extreme version, read Ford Drops the Most Race-Ready and Road-Legal Mustang Ever.
