The 2017 Ford GT Has Earned the Gene Ritvo Award

The 2017 Ford GT has won the Gene Ritvo Award, which honors the best in automotive design. The award goes to the concept or production vehicle that best defines elegance in design.

Entries were judged by the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) in conjunction with design experts from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The Ford GT’s teardrop canopy, dramatic flying buttresses and race-bred aerodynamics impressed the jury – a design where every surface serves a purpose.

Form Follows Function

The GT’s shape was developed alongside the race car that won its class at Le Mans in 2016. Its carbon-fiber body, active rear wing and EcoBoost V6 make it as capable as it is beautiful. Learn more about Ford GT color and material choices.
