Spring RV Trip Checklist

Spring is the start of camping season in Kansas. Before your first trip to the lake, run through this checklist.

Exterior

• Inspect the roof, seals and seams for cracks.
• Check tire pressure, tread and date codes.
• Test lights, brakes and the breakaway switch.

Systems

• Charge or replace batteries.
• De-winterize and sanitize the fresh-water system.
• Check propane lines and test detectors (smoke, CO, LP).
• Run the generator, A/C, furnace and appliances.

Tow Vehicle

• Service your truck – oil, brakes, transmission fluid.
• Inspect the hitch, coupler and safety chains.
