Ford Spends $1.6 Billion On Ohio and Livonia Assembly Plants

Ford is investing a total of $1.6 billion in its Livonia Transmission Plant in Michigan and its Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, Ohio.

Part of a Bigger Commitment

  • The investment is part of Ford’s commitment to invest $9 billion and create or retain 8,500 hourly jobs in its U.S. facilities over four years.
  • In the previous five years, Ford had invested $12 billion in its U.S. plants.
  • Livonia builds advanced automatic transmissions, including the 10-speed used in the F-150 and Raptor.
  • Ohio Assembly builds commercial vehicles such as the F-650/F-750 medium-duty trucks and E-Series cutaways.

Those trucks and transmissions are the backbone of the work vehicles we sell and service at our Truck Lane Service Center in Topeka. Browse commercial & fleet vehicles.
